Also codex added 5hr sessions back to Pro users, not sure about other tiers.

I havnt noticed the 5 hr...but it has been really slow...2+ mins before the first token

it's a few thousand dollars less than outright buying it. it's definitely not the best financial decision if you can buy it outright and are comfortable selling whenever you upgrade. but im sure there's some people out there that just want to pay the $200/m and upgrade every 2-3y without hassle of reselling.

plus if RAM prices happen to go down dramatically (seems very unlikely), then you'd not make your moeny back when you do go to resell + upgrade
