I get it at work for free, but I was never a fan of copilot. Maybe cli is better than the Intellij Plugin

this may be a bug or a oversight.. but currently on copilot cli.. running gpt5.4 on xhigh says 1x usage.. vs claude opus is 3x.

doesnt have a /stats to see your rate limits though.. prob somewhere just not familar with the cli app to know exactly. It has things like usage that shows number of premum requests but doesnt give you a max etc.

according to the web you get Pro: 300 premium requests(PER MONTH?!?)... i mean 300 is 300.. but meh.. doesnt seem like a lot.. those will burn fast I would guess.

Yea, but it's an extra 300.
I have yet to hit a 5h session limit for codex.

I asked gpt xhigh on copilot to come up with a dashboard sci-fi based on the a game bot and it came up with this: (used 1 premium request that took 10 mins)

Looks nice though, the gradients fit there. The things it did for me looked bad with the gradient

Would you guys advise gpt5.4 xhigh or opus 4.6 for coding? Im divided between the two, opus seems better but has too many limits weekly

me? I mainly use sonnet and gpt medium for 95% only higher for specific things when it starts having trouble.

or one offs etc like making a plan, etc

as for coding.... they are both really good. For my use cases... gpt is slightly better at handling my needs. But each has their own strengths and weaknesses. So try both, and if you like claude, try it on sonnet 4.6 until it runs into problems.
