@Mysticdrew Yea you guys got me all nostalgic for the good ol' days. Loaded it up and instantly felt right at home in neriak.. So spent a few mins and got working memory plugin..

TBH I dont know if it will sustain a monthly fee.. it will probably go F2p pretty fast.. or atleast they will add a f2p server with cosmetics or something. But in the meantime.. felt good to go back to my roots.

I noticed the radar and patrolbot's distance values seem quite small for eq-l.
Like I had to have the mobs basically ontop of m for the patrol bot to put them in the list, and things are very far away on the radar.

though, I did nto get patrolbot to run actual patrols yet. Still figuring out combat stuff.

I'm not quite following what is happening. If they show up on the radar (however far they look) is how the patrol sees it. What i usually do is look at distances.. and say ok does that look 10 yards from me or not? if yes/no I adjust a multipliier to the xy coordinates so it does. That can work.. but it will break spell distances if you use in game spell descriptions (ie this spell can cast 25 units away) etc. So its a give and take.

But that said, I havnt had to do any adjustments to get it working.. combat is coming along, I should have a memory plugin available in a day or so. You can then compare it with yours.

You'll probably get yours done before I do.
I am working on too many things and busy weekend, only get a couple hours in the morning before fam wakes up and when they go to bed.

To me it felt like each distance value in the radar and patrol bot, did not correspond well to ingame values.
I have not tested a ton, but I think the ingame position values are really small, so a small distance can be actually a large numerical distance. Like the xy grid is quite small to relative positioning. I'll test some more later tonight when I can get back to the computer.
It's finally not super hot and humid so doign a bunch of outside stuff.

Try getting a distance to something.. and set yourself about 10 yards from it.... and then multiple the xy by a constatnt so the distance shows up as 10..

I guess the nostalgia got the better of me.. lol. I got the old 2007 LOTRO client supported.. I am about 90% done with EQ1 (EQL), and for giggles download DAOC (supports the new eden server).. and got it about 70% working..

This is what you guys have done to me!

I'm still building out my tooling as well. Slows me down some, and figuring out how to get things working with chimera.

How are you handling combat in eql? Right now, I just dumb fire spam a selected gem keys

Yes I need to push out a skeleton Memory plugin so that users like yourself have scaffolding to build from with comments, API references, etc so you can just pass it to your LLM of choice and have it make it.
