I would really like to upgrade to a premium account, but the redirect from the account management page to the secure server doesn't appear to be working, and neither does the link. I've have been trying for some time now, about 2 days. Any assistance on this would be helpful.

I just tested the link and it was working fine here.

My guess is that your ISP or security software is preventing the link to paypal. It is trying to connect to paypal's secure server and that could be part of the problem.

I had this problem when setting up my second account; I tried both Firefox and IE7 and both got stuck at the link. IE brought up a message about some object missing (can't recall what).

In the end I worked around it by opening the account first, then going to the upgrade page rather than trying to join *and* upgrade at the same time.

If it happens again, please let me know the exact error and link it is trying to access so I can try to track down that error.

Until I can reproduce it, I cannot help.

I tried pressing upgrade to premium link on the left and it worked for me.

Perhaps use this link and see if it helps:

http://www.mmoviper.com/premium/signup.php

and use a new username to signup with.

No, eta on a trial.

I would contact paypal directly (they have a 1800 phone number) to get help directly from them as their website is the one causing the problems.

I cannot reproduce the error, and others are getting through without any problems.

Which leads me to beleive it is something to do with your computer or setup or ISP that is causing the problems.
