So in case any of you weren't already aware, about an hour (or a little more) ago, megaupload and all megaupload links were taken down by the FBI of the US.

The site is down for good and the FBI made several arrests (the owners/founders of the site).

There are already many youtube videos out talking about this as well (although some of them incorrectly blame SOPA/PIPA). SOPA/PIPA have not been voted on or passed yet so it is solely the responsibility of the FBI for taking this site down.

AnonOps has already apparently taken a keen interest in this as www.justice.gov has gone down several times since then. I think they are attacking such sites as well as the FBI sites and will probably continue / escalate this activity.
